Time did an interview with Kerry a few days back. I've seen a few people cover it but I haven't seen anybody pull this nugget out and slap hims squarely across his face with it. Anyway, here's the excerpt:
The 9/11 commission makes it clear that Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11, nothing to do with al-Qaeda.
Does anyone want to stretch this into a half-truth? He's half right. The commision did say that Saddam had no known connections with 9/11. The commission also said that there was multiple connections between Sadam, Iraq, and Al Qaeda. They even went on nearly every major news agency in the nation to correct them when they lumped 9/11 and Al Qaeda as the same entity.
Of course, the truth doesn't matter to Kerry. He'll just explain how he was misinformed about the issue and bury it with three purple hearts and attacks on Bush's Guard record.
