The death of a Moonbat

Being the eternal optimist, I was hoping that the moonbat syndrome had subsided from my past indescretions. Boy was I wrong. The whole time I've been laying low they've been foaming at the mouth. You know, you just can't get away from these people. They hound you like a little kid brother that was told the world is flat once so your declaration that the world is round brings about false declarations of you being terminally wrong.

A couple of days ago I put up an image of George W. Bush handing out the first medal of honor in the ongoing effort in Iraq. I called it an image of hope. I considered it so because the individual being honored had done something of extreme valor and was being honored with the highest honor a hero can be awarded. It gave me hope to see someone that would go that far above and beyond to do his duty in saving the lives of others. It gave me hope.

What some people failed to see past was that this particular medal of honor was given posthumously. Apparently if someone dies then all of his deeds no longer matter because he is dead. Does that mean the 3,000 lives of those killed in the World Trade Center mean nothing? Of course it does, they're little Eichmans after all. Apparently, some people will dwell on death as a person's only act and ignore anything else that has happened in their life.

Maybe I'm wrong about this. Is someone's valor nullified if they lose their life in the process? Is it nobler to stand by and watch as your comrades get shot just so that you may live? Apparently, some people think so.

UPDATE: Should I put up images of rage so the moonbats can tell the difference? Another series like Images of hope?

People who are unable to see the valor of our heroic deceased are as brainless as broccoli!
No point in trying to reason with broccoli.

Little point in trying to reason with these people. They know neither honor nor respect.

I see you missed the point. How terribly (not) shocking.

The guy shouldn't have had to die in the first place. He should have had to leave his family without him.

No WMD, remember?

Or have you completely moved on to the next excuse for war and given Bush a pass cuz it makes it easier for you to sleep at night?

I see your point Teach.

Just like the kid brother reference. Parroting the talking points.

I wouldn't mind the discussions with the Left if they at least argued with real facts now and then, rather then made up nitpicking as they are so often wont to do.

It would be simply astounding if the Left could just say "thank you for doing your job, Mr. Soldier."

Carla is just another one of those ignorant sheeple. On her own redundant blog she carries on about how useless it is to try to convince the conservatives of their own wrong-headedness.

Bottom line; she's not trying to convince anyone of anything. She's just one of those pitiful creatures that tries to boost her own severe lack of self confidence by being rude and condescending to others.

I may have missed something, but I didn't notice that any conservatives had visited her blog and and attacked her beliefs and core values. I guess if you know what you believe and why you believe it don't feel the need to attack everyone that disagrees with you.

for the most part, the Left has zip. No plans, no agenda, no beliefs. Other then "hate Bush", obstruct everything, and complain about everything, of course. SOmething I had been considering writing is that they rarely ever have anything nice to say, particularly about their own party, beyond empty platitudes. How often did we see the Left write something nice about Kerry pre-election?

Mabye they're going under the modified addage: If you don't have anything nice to say about your own candidate attack your opponent.

ayup. Pretty much all they have.

Jeremy, Patty-Jo, Teach, et al.,

Excellent points. Hearing your comments is encouraging to me, b/c I find a lot of the just hateful, anti-military rhetoric ... and yes anti-American rhetoric from the Left very discouraging.

To take a posthumous Medal of Honor and use it for a cheap political attack at the President is an outrage. But you need a conscience to feel outrage.
