PETA - Bad For Animals!

Yes, that's right. PETA is bad for animals. There is much documentation on this and another piece has just come to the surface:

Two on PETA staff charged with cruelty to animals

So here's the rules. Write something factual about what PETA has done to undermine the very cause they are working for. Maybe it's their huge meatlockers you want to rant about. Maybe it's the baby seals they painted the big red X on so the polar bears could spot them better. Maybe it's that they euthanize more animals than any other group. Whatever your bone to pick please link it here. If I get more than 10 bursters I'll start a blogroll that everyone can use at their discretion.

what worries me is "How did these animals die?"

Supposedly PETA believes in euthanization by lethal injection. But the drugs used for this kind of injection are a controlled substance (for obvious reasons). Neither one of these PETA people are veterinarians - so, either they were using a substance illegally or the animals died some grosser way.

Actually PETA is AGAINST euthanasia. They do have a large stock of the drug though...I can do the math. Can you?

OK so Durbun is a prick. There you have it. What is Delay? I will post an anti Durbin rant if you post anti-delay? A challenge? Yes. We both post at GCS....

Um, Jess, I think you meant to quip one post over. This is the post in which we right-minded folk hold PeTA accountable for it's domestic terrorism toward the very critters it claims to want to save. Like shooting fish in a barrel, ya know.

Not to say that proving Durbin an idiot prick isn't hard either. You should lookee over some of those links Jeremy shares with us...

I don't know what everyone is so worked up about, the animals didn't suffer - they were euthanized! They are better off dead than living a life of slavery.
Petownership is slaverey.

"Petownership [sic] is slaverey [sic]"????

Good Lord, woman, what the hell are you smoking?!

1) Animals are NOT the equals of humans
2) However, I will agree that they shouldn't be abused - for reasons of good stewardship, mainly
3) I wish I had the good life my family's pets have!

but mainly

4) the main point of the post was to point out hypocracy in PETA's ranks...

HelLO??? Wake up and smell the coffee, Theresa, honey...

(Hi Jeremy! Still moving, and no bband at home *sob* But I'm taking a break at Barnes and Noble, woohooo!)

by the way, Theresa, what everyone is getting worked up about is the fact that PETA told the places they picked the pets up from there were doing so to find them a nice home. I guess Oscar thinks it's a nice home, but he's only a puppet.

Peta has shown us what they are about for years. In all fairness we must remember that only one employee has been charged in this most recent atrocity, and it is possible Peta itself was not aware of her actions. Not that this excuses Peta for past actions. Anyone who has done any research on them knows their reputation.
As for Theresa's brainless comment, anyone who believes petownership is 'SLAVERY' should never own a pet. Obviously she would not be a loving caregiver.
I have two little dogs, If there is any slavery involved here, then I'm the slave, and glad to be.
