So, I'm pretty sure you've all seen this. All the talking heads in the DNC doing their best to stop ABC from doing the movie. One of them even went as far as calling it a mocudrama. The best part is not a single one of them have even seen it yet. This, of course, begs the question, "what's there to hide?"
Well, let me tell you why they're trying to instill thier "civic duty" with a document written in 1934. They're afraid of losing votes. I really don't see any other reason they'd be so abject to protesting something they haven't seen yet. Lord knows they don't give two shits about protecting the public from anything. Hell, how many dead soldiers can you fit in Iraq? Of course, the answer is, "ask a democratic politician".
The counter argument to this is that, "it's horribly innacurate and shows Republicans in a positive light. It's Republican propaganda!" Gee, lets see, democrats opposed to something that might show a few of them in a bad light. Yep, that has to be funded by the GOP. Definitely some vast right-wing conspiracy. It reminds me of all the religious movies that people bitch and complain about. It's a controversial subject. Some people won't like it and that's okay. They don't have to watch it. Just like some people never watched Passion of the Christ. It doesn't mean it's propaganda. Just wait until the movie has been played to judge it.
Something else that makes me take notice here is that even though the 9/11 report is out most of America isn't going to read it, including myself. 400+ pages of dryness? No thank you. I'll go watch a movie or two. Oh, you turned the 9/11 report into a movie? Great! I'm there! People are going to watch and going to see exactly what happened. If it goes against what the 9/11 commission put together then there will be grounds for lawsuits and such. If it shows people on both sides of the fence to be morons, but is accurate, the DNC will just have to shut the fuck up.
We'll see how it plays out by tomorrow night.

Me, I probably woudn't even have known about it if they hadn't made a stink and tried to get it censored.
I prefer the National Geographic "Inside 9/11" documentary.

And in 2008, we'll probably get stuck with another goofball Clinton or a RINO like McCain. Unless someone like a John Cox can overcome the GOP leaders and gain the recognition that's already being talked about in the Los Angeles Times.
