California Legislator To Propose Numbering All Bullets

In an attempt to put forth further gun controls, California Senator Joe Dunn (D) will be proposing serial numbers be placed on all handgun bullets in California. The current gun companies’ argument into the case is that they would be unable to keep up with the needs for ammunition if a numbering system were to be implemented. They state that it would be tantamount to a ban on handgun ammunition altogether.

It is unclear if this legislation would carry over to a ban on individual bullet reloading or not.

The Dems like to tout George Orwell as a "Social-ist", however, 1984 is slowly coming to being through Democratic initiatives. Numbering bullets, more government regulation in business, gun control, abortion, PC speech, what's next? The thought police? Burning books? Where does this non-sense stop?

Great post.

That's why california is like a bowl of granola: full of fruits, nuts and flakes.

A few years ago, the FTC considered the idea of requiring a warning be etched on each and every marble (round glass sphere used to play games) indicating that they were a choking hazard.

I suppose that the bullet serializing would be quickly followed up with a serializing of every "pointy stick," "cigarette," "knife," "bottle," "swimming pool," and "piece of fruit" in California.
