Ode to Dead Blogs

I finally got on my Bloglines account today to look through all of the blogs I've interacted with. Some of them are up and running. Others have fallen fallow and some are even abandoned. Others have become commercial sites for spammers and such. I look at these missing sites and remember the relationships I left behind when I quit blogging. It was the people behind the blogs that kept me blogging.

While I was away I kept asking myself, "Why should I blog? What the hell does my screaming voice in the sea matter to anyone?" I just couldn't see that it really wasn't about my screaming voice. It was about the online blogging community. It was about digital friends. For those that followed by lead and quit blogging a apologize for not being there to send you best wishes upon your exit from the blogosphere. To those that stayed to fight the good fight I pray you are not too mad at me for abandoning you.

I'm back.

Welcome back, I think I missed all the friends as well. It is a form of mental mastubation, but it keeps you informed and on top. I tried to fix my MU blog but I am afraid it is too fubared to fix. I just started my old blogger turd instead. Looking forward to reading your stuff again.

He just feels left out because he wasn't banned by India. It's okay - you can be an honorary member, Jeremy.

Wait, do I have that authority?

Okay, welcome back.

(Dude, uh, like you have any place to talk. You don't even blog when you're blogging. You haven't done a serious post about anything in over a year. What's your excuse? - Ed. Uh, marriage? - Editor)

Um...I don't believe I am banned in India. How would I check that?

Funny thing about that. I just looked at my Sitemeter and one of the seven hits was from India. I'M BANLESS!

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End takes more in its first week than Spiderman 3, despite scenes being cut...
