Before I get into this I feel the need to preface this with the fact that I take no political funds for my voice. I have never received any funding from groups like Media Matters, unlike Daily KOS, MyDD or Eschaton.
The reason I feel the need to declare this is that all three of these blogs have decided to report the exact same story in the exact same way. Their belief is the reason John Roberts was nominated on Tuesday was to try and take some heat off on Karl Rove's "illegal disclosure" of a CIA operative. In my opinion this is either painfully stupid or these three headline bloggers have been bought off.
It is no secret that Karl Rove is a favorite target of those from the left. They would do almost anything to get him removed. This laughable non-scandal is only the most recent assault on reality. I'm sure some of you are still convinced that "Rove is the leak". Let me explain how this is completely impossible.
In order for Rove to be guilty of illegally leaking the name of a CIA operative he would have had to of given the name of a CIA operative that was an ACTIVE CIA operative. For anybody interested in reality Plame had NOT an operative for several years prior to the fiasco. In fact, she was quite proud of the fact she was an analyst for the CIA. I fail to understand how what Rove did could be considered either an outing or illegal. Are we now going to allege that he said or did something else?
Still on the leakage issue, I believe there is something else we missed. Wasn't the original reason the two journalists were brought to trial over a cover company for the CIA being ousted and not some analyst? Couldn't the Rove non-story be a cover for the real illegal leak? I would believe that to be the more likely story.
So what purpose would making a ridiculous accusation serve? The only purpose I see is the fact that no one really has any good dirt on John Roberts. As far as I can see the Democrats et. al. are hoping for something to come out of the dumbass questions they'll be asking in the near future. Besides, I'm pretty sure everybody knows this fight to come has absolutely nothing to do with Roe V. Wade.
It appears someone has discovered the wonderful misrepresentations of the time (dis)honored tradition of a site called Iraqi Body Count. It appears that they're going to be issuing some sort of press release/dossier crap shortly. Someone asked me to report on this further but I went to his site and he'd already done such a good job of tearing their house of cards down all I have left is a snippet and a link:
Aha! So every old lady whose poo wasn't properly disposed of is a "casualty of coalition forces."
NOTE: It appears Mike may be dissolusioned about McCain. We shouldn't hold it against him. Everybody needs to see the truth about things and if Mike has just discovered the worthless crap of a site listed above then we can wait a bit to explain how much of a lefty lap dog McCain really is.
...sombody remind me to blogroll this guy too. I see this guy going places.
Can anybody explain to me how some chick in Aruba rates about twelve notches more important than a terrorism bombing in London? I really hate to say it but for a change Savage is right. Looks like the media stuck so far up its ass in trying to stuff Rove for doing nothing that it can't report the news anymore. Anyway, back to Aruba Vs. London.
Has anybody NOT noticed that the lead suspect sounds like a yellowish liquid released from the body through the urethra? As far as I can recall Juran is indeed pronounced URINE! Of course, that goes into the PISS-poor detective work on the little Dutch island. Anyway, I digress. We all hear way too much of the story for our own good.
Do you realize that the U.S. actually sent a fighter jet to Aruba to try and see if they could see any signs of the chick out at sea? Does anybody else want to kick someone squarely in the balls for sending a fighter jet, costing a crapload of money, to look for some missing person? It appears to me that the media are a bunch of publicity whores. Does anybody report real news anymore?..oh, I forgot. Real news doesn't sell.
/end rant.
Okay, so I take a week off blogging to collect myself and have a much needed break only to find that I've broken through to the other side. Sorry all; I'm no longer a Large Mammal. Through some weird vorpal wormhole of confusion plus six(C) I'm now a part of the monkey house. I don't know what I did over my blogging break to warrant the #80 position but I'm sure someone will "fix the glitch" soon.
In the past I have written things for the sole purpose of keeping updates on my site. I've tried to keep updated and insightful ideas on my blog in order to appease the masses; to keep people interested. Now that I've sort of evaporated from the scene for about a week I notice that no one made a single comment on my absence.
This is a good thing. This means there isn't anyone hanging on my every word. This means I'm only an occasional read for most who come here. This means I'm not inherently too significant in the blogosphere. This means I'm going to write whatever the hell I want, whenever the hell I want and I'm not going to care who I piss off in the process.
Will I piss off lefties? Hell yeah! Will I piss off righties? Absolutely! I'm just going to start telling it like it is and not care what happens anymore. If you're reading this please take note. I ain't sugar coating anything from here on out.
1. The Wide Awakes - Please take me off of the writing roster. I'm not quitting and I'll still do the updates and polls and stuff but I can't devote myself to pointed articles anymore. Don't worry; I can still fisk the hell out of a troll if I put my mind on it.
2. Blogcritics - A good portion of you are a bunch of good for nothing, hypocritical, self-serving, elitist, and liberal whores. I have two reviews to do and I doubt I'll be requesting anymore free products for review. You thought you had a problem culling the mindset of John Bambi-Neck you ain't seen nothing yet. I will no doubt be banned before the month is out by these "freedom of speech" preaching idiots.
3. Pumping Pixels - Because of this newfound freedom I'll be able to do a bit more web design. Remember, we work damn cheap. If you've already got the site the basic design is 25 friggin' bucks. Even the cheapest Internet bums can scrounge together 25 bucks. Help a foundling company in the blogsphere out and buy a design. If you think we ain't got what it takes just ask for references. We'll prove you wrong.
4. The blogosphere in general - There is no way in hell I can visit everybody's blogs on a regular basis. Just keeping up with the TWA sites would be a full time endeavor. (Speaking of which, TTLB has a nice aggregator for them HERE) If you have something really cool please e-mail me or leave a comment. I DO read every single solitary comment and e-mail that runs through this blog. You can rest assured I read what you e-mailed me. Yes, even all of your stuff Howard...unless it has to do with some effing casino website we've all been getting spammed with lately.
5. If anything I say or do on this blog hurts your sensitivities tough shit. I'm not writing to make you happy. I'm writing to express my feelings and if it offends you please take make the sincere effort to go piss up a rope. If you want to tell me that if I don't retract this opinion or that statement I'll no longer be your friend or you'll stop visiting then get the fuck out. If you're that fickle you were never a friend or true fan, just a fraud.
Now that I've gotten that off my chest you can take this for the pixels it's written on. If you don't believe these words just try me.
...we now return you to your regular scheduled blogging...
