According to this report from the guardian, Israel will be calling off ther assault of Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon on Monday. It appears they shall be ratifying the treaty that the U.S. and France have put together. No official verification of this statement has been made yet. It is completely through "an anonymous source". Lets hope this source isn't into making historical documents through modern-day technology (Rathergate) or is just about any photojournalist that operates on the Israeli/Lebanese border...or works for either the GOP or DNC....or is aligned with Tom Cruise and scientology....or little green space aliens living in the sewers of New York.
Meanwhile, Israel continues to intensify their current operations. More people in Lebanon and more rockets have been fired by both sides. More people have died. I'm not going to get into numbers. There's really no point. The reporters don't report the Israeli deaths and they overinflate the civilian deaths of the Lebanese. All I can say is there are more dead people on both sides today.
As with every assault Israel has ever made, they are backing off. They've had Palestinian leadership shaking in the bottom of a surrounded bunker and they backed off at the first sign of a brokerable peace. Unfortunately, Israel was the only party that held up their end of the deal. They backed off Yasser Arafat's palace. They fled the Gaza Strip. They've done just about everything they've been asked to do short of committing mass suicide. What rewards do they get in return? JIHAD.
Yep, I'm not doing this crap on the weekends unless I get an epiphany...or someone pays me. So here's a few things to be expecting out of this rat trap next week:
Signaleer has databased just what the IRA has done. It is not yet complete, but it's pretty damning for Bush*.

So I put in my last article and go to the post to ensure it looks okay. I glance over at the daily bible verse for a quick read. I reread it. Wow, I like this one:
Daily Bible Verse A fool's lips bring him strife, and his mouth invites a beating. Proverbs 18:6 (NIV)Damn, I may use that frequently.
Last night there was a slight shift in the democratic party. It was a change that I believed should happen for much longer than even the DNC thought about it. They kicked out their token Jew, Joe Lieberman. Sure, there's probably another Jewish senator or representative floating around or something, but Joe was the active and popular one.
I wonder if they realize how this action is going to look to other Jews in the U.S.? Will they get the impression that democrats are Jew haters? They're definitely not on Israel's side these days. Many of them even side with Hezbollah, the terrorist organization bent on the destruction of every man, woman and child that calls themselves a Jew inside of Israel. That might be pretty damning come election time. Time will tell the tale.
Aside from the potentially racist connotations of this, I believe it is a win-win for both parties. For a long time I've said that Lieberman wasn't a Democrat in the sense of what the party is today. I wouldn't really call him a Republican, but he is definitely not in the same skin as Howard "I hate all Republicans" Dean. It is a good sign that he is leaving the party. Although it was a forced move, it more accurately represents the political landscape.
Seeing as how Lieberman never really chose sides except his own, independent is the perfect place for him to be sitting. Connecticut has a heavy independent voting population. He has a long-standing history with them. There's even a slight chance the Republican party will pull their representative and shuffle some loose change his way. Everybody considers the republican candidate an impossible bid anyway. It makes common sense. (Okay, yeah. I just jinxed it by calling it common sense. Watch the Republicans try and attack him now. *shrug*)
The next step I could possibly pray for is for the Republicans to do what the democrats did and boot someone that desparately needs it. Please go join Blogs for McCain's Opponent today. How on God's green earth can you cozy up to Ted "The Anti-Conservative" Kennedy, like he does on those talk radio commercial spots, and still claim to be a Republican? At the very least he needs to be placed in the same situation as Lieberman, as an independent. Republican maverick is not the right term to be used with him. Liberal Democrat would be much closer to the truth.
It might even be possible to reign in the democratic bloggers as well on this issue. I'm sure they'd enjoy helping take down a republican, even if it is McCain. I doubt McCain would lose his seat, just as I doubt Lieberman will lose his. They'll both simply become independent candidates. They'll stop pretending to be something they're not. It would be a win-win fer everyone involved.
So, when is McCain up for re-election?
Since Kos is covering Lieberman with baited breath and nobody seems to be paying attention to McKinney I'll be doing my best to keep things updated.
At least I won't be crashing any websites by providing a link:
11:05PM - Henry C. "Hank" Johnson declares victory over Cynthia McKinney
Percentage Reporting - 89%
Johnson - 59%
McKinney - 41%
I'm guessing with a 17% margin our beloved Cynthia won't be hitting any more Washington D.C. security people. (Game Over.)
...and there was much rejoicing...
Edit:
I guess Lieberman will be running as an independant. (Yep, Lieberman is done as a Democrat.)
And my McKinney source.
In other election news it appears the the race baiter and conspiracy theorist, Cynthia McKinney, is having a hard time in her stomping grounds as well. I'm guessing they're trying to clean house on some the the senators they consider dead weight to their current movement. Of course, this isn't entirely a bad thing. The more they struggle to oust the people the doesn't follow the current democratic "vision" the less time and capabilities they will have to oust republicans from their seats.
I wonder who they're going for next? Is Howard Dean, the raving lunatic, next on the chopping block? Only time will tell. Either way, I'm interested to see how the voting goes for both Leiberman and McKinney.
Yep, that's the big rumor floating around I guess. Rumor has it that after tomorrow Joe will be going independent. After the crap the Democrats have been giving him I can't blame the guy. I guess that's what happens when you're ostracised because you can speak to Sean Hannity without foaming at the mouth. Hell, Kos is in full on fury against him.
I'm sorry, but I just have to stop and make a remark or two about the mental retardation that is Zunigas and crew. They're such raving leftists freaks as to not really even resemble Americans anymore. They're simply Democrats from...um...LA LA Land? I'd be willing to bet if they could get away with arming themselves to shoot Republicans on sight they would....anyway, back to Joe.
Something people need to figure out is that Connecticut probably has the right idea about things. A good portion of the population are independent voters. They're not affiliated with one retarded party over the other. They have to common sense to vote for whomever they want. Hopefully, the many years Joe has spent serving them will not go to waste. I doubt Connecticut will so quickly forget what Joe provided them.
...and just think. While the Democrats are pushing so hard to oust Lieberman they could be unifying themselves against Republicans. I believe they may be digging their own political grave in Conn.
I finally got on my Bloglines account today to look through all of the blogs I've interacted with. Some of them are up and running. Others have fallen fallow and some are even abandoned. Others have become commercial sites for spammers and such. I look at these missing sites and remember the relationships I left behind when I quit blogging. It was the people behind the blogs that kept me blogging.
While I was away I kept asking myself, "Why should I blog? What the hell does my screaming voice in the sea matter to anyone?" I just couldn't see that it really wasn't about my screaming voice. It was about the online blogging community. It was about digital friends. For those that followed by lead and quit blogging a apologize for not being there to send you best wishes upon your exit from the blogosphere. To those that stayed to fight the good fight I pray you are not too mad at me for abandoning you.
I'm back.
